"The New Kyle Field"
Since 1905 the Aggies have called Kyle Field home. As the years progressed, the stadium steadily increased in both size and intimidation factor. In 2013, the Aggies set out to build the greatest venue in the history of college football.
September 12, 2015 marked the grand opening of the $485 million redevelopment of the beloved stadium. With an official capacity of 102,733, Kyle Field is now the largest stadium in the state of Texas and is the 4th largest in the nation for college football.
Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp captured the essence of the grand structure perfectly when announcing plans for its re-opening. For all Aggies, past, present, and future, Kyle Field embodies our culture, our traditions, and our core values, and that is what we will be celebrating. To the rest of the world, Kyle Field projects a message not just about football but about the overall excellence of our great university.
